Financial Analyst

Position Overview An organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. This role will work closely with finance and business leaders to provide insights into financial performance, support decision‑making, and drive overall business results. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis against budget and prior periods Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports Analyze key financial and operational metrics to identify trends and insights Support leadership with data‑driven recommendations Business Partnership Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business drivers Provide financial insight to support operational and strategic initiatives Assist in evaluating business opportunities, investments, and cost‑saving initiatives Data Management & Process Improvement Gather, analyze, and interpret large data sets from multiple systems Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data accuracy Support system enhancements and automation initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related field Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, data analysis) Experience with financial systems and reporting tools Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with financial modeling and forecasting Familiarity with ERP systems, BI tools, or data visualization platforms MBA, CPA, or CFA (or progress toward certification) is a plus EEO Notice Vaco by Highspring is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race (including but not limited to traits historically associated with race such as hair texture and hair style), color, sex (includes pregnancy or related conditions), religion or creed, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, status as a veteran, union membership, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, or any other protected characteristics as required by federal, state or local law.
