Job Title: Extrusion Operator

Job Description

As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery, ensuring product quality and process efficiency. Your role will involve monitoring process parameters, performing quality checks, and assisting with packaging and material handling.

Direct Placement Opportunity - $22 an hour

Responsibilities

• Start up, shut down, and operate extruders while monitoring process parameters and product quality.
• Make necessary machine adjustments and perform preventative maintenance.
• Perform quality checks and complete production paperwork.
• Assist with packaging finished products.
• Obtain certification to drive a forklift or fork truck, if not already certified.
• Operate chop saw to cut samples.
• Deliver raw materials to the production lines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Work safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Experience in extrusion, plastic processing, and machine operation.
• Proficiency in using calipers and conducting quality checks.
• Ability to perform packaging and stacking tasks.
• Forklift operation skills as needed.
• Strong quality control and machine operating capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility or similar relevant experience.
• Highly accountable and punctual.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively.
• Experience working in a small team environment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and stand or walk for extended periods.

Work Environment

The work environment is an older warehouse equipped with machinery. It is a blue-collar setting where physical work is a key component of daily operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, WI.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Green Bay,WI.
