Resume Vacancy Announcement Assistant Director of Student Learning: Program Operations and Support Priority Consideration Deadline: July 1, 2026 by 11:59 PM Position Overview Under the general direction of the Director of Student Learning Operations: Curriculum, Scheduling and Support , the Assistant Director of Student Learning Program Operations and Support collaborates with the Student Learning Deans and Directors to standardize and coordinate the implementation of centralized departmental functions and curricular activities and includes supervising Student Learning support staff and overseeing front office activities. As Assistant Director of Student Learning Program Operations and Support , it is expected that the following qualities will be demonstrated daily: a high degree of understanding and empathy for all students, faculty, staff and visitors, as well as the ability to encourage the inclusion of all voices in decision‑making, promoting equity in all areas, and actively working against institutionalized norms of oppression against historically marginalized people. Employee Type: Full Time Exempt, Permanent Initial Salary: $84,812.09 (includes 5% King County Premium Pay) Supervising Position: Director of Student Learning Operations; Curriculum, Scheduling and Support Student Learning (SL) Department Coordination and Operational Support Oversee Student Learning front‑office business processes that support deans, directors, faculty, staff, and students including: Supervise Student Learning support staff including prioritizing and assigning work, conducting annual performance evaluations, ensuring proper communication and office coverage Coordinate meeting support needs; centralize scheduling and note‑taking Develop training and procedure documents, and coordinate regular staff training ERP maintenance: Ensure that Student Learning electronic resources sites are up‑to‑date and organized (Teams, Go, Cascadia, Faculty Hub, shared servers) Standardize, centralize, and maintain documentation for Student Learning business processes Coordinate activities related to Full‑Time (FT) and Associate Faculty (AF) hiring to assure equitable processes Maintain centralized list of quarterly Associate Faculty availability SL Program and Curricular Support Coordinate College in the High School (CiHS) activities Collect and review CiHS syllabi annually Collect, review and categorize artifacts for accreditation Update external web info as needed Coordinate and review grade submissions at the end of each term Maintain contracts and processes for shared programs (GIS ¿ Skagit, BSTEC Edmonds, EM Pierce) Coordinate quarterly and annual class offerings, update in Google Docs Verify and process invoices Coordinate Credit for Prior Learning requests Respond to new student requests and inquiries Track internal processes and documentation through student completion Applied and Experiential Learning coordination Maintain centralized list of applied learning resources such as internship sites Support and track faculty connections to community entities who support student integrated learning experiences Track faculty and student progress and completion of 196‑199/296‑299 Individualized Instruction contracts. Maintain documentation updates to assure standard practice between disciplines Coordinate non‑credit courses and facilitate student completions with Leadership Eastside Facilitate activities related to co‑curricular programming such as the quarterly Celebration of Learning Coordinate faculty course signups, space, and advertising needs Provide backup support to Student Learning Staff for various ctcLink processes Enrollment Requirements Course and Class Fee setup and maintenance Faculty Workload calculations and contract processes Travel Authorizations and Purchase Requisitions Budget Oversight Coordination Coordinate with administrative staff both in Student Learning and other departments to ensure processes are completed according to established procedures and deadlines Purchasing and contract management Coordinate with the Director of Natural Science Labs & Sustainability, the Art Gallery Director, and the Deans of Student Learning to support timely purchasing and contract management Performs other related duties of a similar nature or level as assigned. Education & Experience Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Three years of direct supervisory experience in an office or administrative setting. Demonstrated experience using customer or student management database systems, such as: ctcLink/PeopleSoft, EAB Navigate, TargetX, or similar platforms. Demonstrated ability to manage teams and use creative problem‑solving methods. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the ability to support a diverse workplace and educational environment. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field. Direct supervisory experience in a higher education or academic office setting. Experience working at a public two‑year college, preferably within the Washington State Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) system. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Teams. Ability to successfully communicate (written and orally) in a language in addition to English. Physical Work Environment Semi‑Sedentary Work: Involves staying in a stationary position to a significant degree. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. The College is currently in hybrid operations, with many assignments completed in an online environment during this time. Full‑time employees are expected to be on campus at least three (3) days per week with the option to work remotely for the remainder of their working days. This position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment and physically attend meetings both on and off campus and requires the ability to communicate in person or through appropriate means. Positions in this class typically require operating a computer, communicating, observing, and repetitive motions. This position involves exerting between 10-30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to transport, put, install, remove, or otherwise move objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
