Substation Tender Manager

Temporary

Kforce's client in Raleigh, NC is seeking a highly professional Tender Manager to support proposal development for substation and EPC projects. This role partners closely with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams to develop competitive bids, assess project feasibility, and deliver customer-focused solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of proposals and bid packages for substation projects
Create, edit, and manage proposal documentation and sales support materials
Evaluate technical and commercial feasibility to ensure competitive offerings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, supply chain, and project management
Understand customer business needs, challenges, and project requirements to develop tailored solutions
Review and validate technical aspects of proposed solutions
Coordinate supplier and subcontractor quotes for bid submissions
Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape within utility and data center sectors
Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex project challenges
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; Electrical Engineering preferred
Master's degree preferred
5 or more years of experience in a related field; Experience with Substations Utilities

preferred; Knowledge of customers and competitors preferred

Experience with setting up and executing self-perform work
Record of building and delivery of large programs
Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements, i.e.,

operational, financial, strategic, and tactical thinking, etc.

Technical and business type verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong desire to win
Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel as business requires
Preferred location: Raleigh
Secondary locations: Orlando, Houston, or Denver
