GRANT FUNDED SPECIAL PROJECTS ASSISTANT

Nature of Work This is administrative work of a specialized nature carrying out varied professional assignments within a City department. Essential Functions Assist in producing and developing creative ideas and/or projects for enhancement of the department, office, and/or city. Coordinate and implement various special projects. Promote specific departmental projects. Meet with organizations in the private and/or public sector to coordinate joint partnerships for enhancement of the department, office, and/or city. Prepare and maintain various reports and records. Provide information to the public. Serve as a liaison between outside agencies and city officials. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 60 college credits and three (3) years of administrative experience. OR: Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond a high school diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of the required experience. Special Requirements Depending on the needs of the hiring department, specialized training and/or experience may be required. May be required to work weekends, holidays and/or nights.
