Key Responsibilities Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness. Interview patients to gather medical history, assess risk factors, and explain procedures, including potential side effects, risks, and benefits. Set up imaging equipment and acquire images according to protocols. Review images, document deviations, and relay findings to radiologists. Respond to medical emergencies and provide post-care instructions. Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance care, patient flow, and satisfaction. Educate residents, students, and new staff on imaging procedures. Maintain flexibility for call or standby duties as required. Qualifications & Skills ARRT in Radiology (R) or MRI (MR), or ARMRIT certification. American Heart Association BLS certification or completion during orientation. At least one year of radiologic technologist experience or advanced MRI certification.
