Job Description

This role is a part-time, on-site Clinical Research Coordinator position based in Las Vegas, NV, supporting an ongoing Myasthenia Gravis clinical trial. You will serve as one of the primary coordinators for the study, working 30 hours per week. You actively manage multiple study activities, engage directly with participants and research staff, and ensure that all trial procedures follow regulatory, ethical, and protocol requirements. The position requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional with hands-on clinical research experience and strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and prescreen potential participants for study eligibility.

• Conduct phone screenings and carefully review inclusion and exclusion criteria to determine suitability for the trial.

• Perform thorough reviews of patient medical records and charts to assess eligibility.

• Engage in community outreach by visiting clinics and hospitals, distributing recruitment materials, educating medical staff about the study, and maintaining online recruitment portals.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral physicians to support ongoing participant recruitment.

• Obtain informed consent from participants in accordance with regulatory, ethical, and institutional standards.

• Prepare for study visits by scheduling participants, confirming informed consent status, preparing required documents, and coordinating logistics with the research team.

• Conduct follow-up communications with participants to support retention, address questions, and ensure adherence to study protocols.

• Schedule in-person visits and follow-up appointments, and send reminders and relevant information to participants.

• Retrieve necessary medical records and ensure proper documentation and filing.

• Collaborate closely with research and clinical staff to support the successful conduct of the clinical trial in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator is required.

• At least 2 years of experience with data entry and electronic medical records (EMR).

• Hands-on clinical research and clinical trial experience.

• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Proficiency with electronic data capture systems.

• Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail in documentation, data entry, and protocol adherence.

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage effectively with participants, investigators, and team members.

• Experience with pre-screening patients and conducting chart reviews.

• Experience with patient recruitment activities in a clinical research setting.

• Training in HIPAA regulations.

• Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Work Environment

This position is based on-site in a clinical research setting in Las Vegas, NV, and follows normal business hours for a 30-hour-per-week schedule. The environment is fast paced and requires consistent attention to detail, particularly in managing participant interactions, documentation, and data entry. You collaborate closely with other research coordinators, investigators, and clinical staff to support the successful conduct of the balance impairment trial. Daily work involves extensive use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, electronic data capture platforms, and other clinical research tools. The setting is professional and patient-facing, with a focus on regulatory compliance, data integrity, and high-quality participant care.

This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
