What You’ll Do

• Provide call coverage for cardiothoracic and vascular surgical cases including bypass, congenital defects, valve repairs, aneurysm repairs, lung resections, and other thoracic procedures
• Manage ventilations, provide emergency surgical interventions, and perform endarterectomy procedures
• Utilize EPIC system for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with a small team consisting of physicians and mid-level providers in a full-service acute care hospital setting
• Contribute to hospital-wide patient care with minimal supervision, adhering to safety and quality standards

What You Need

• Valid medical license in Ohio
• Certification in Surgery (board certified or eligible)
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar EMR systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

A full-service acute care hospital in Springfield, Ohio, seeks experienced cardiothoracic surgeons for immediate call coverage due to unforeseen provider absence. The hospital features 250 beds, 60 ICU beds, and onsite lab and x-ray. This role offers flexible scheduling with ongoing opportunities to help ensure continued patient care.
