Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Weston, West Virginia
Position Type: Temporary Contract Assignment
Contract Term: 16-Week Service Agreement
Openings: Four (4) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

Position Summary

Seeking four (4) qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a 16-week service agreement in Weston, West Virginia. The ideal candidates will possess strong clinical skills, demonstrate professionalism and reliability, and have experience working in psychiatric and/or long-term care settings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
• License must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions or restrictions.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current First Aid certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in psychiatric, behavioral health, or long-term care environments.
• Knowledge of treatment and care practices related to psychiatric and long-term care patient populations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, behaviors, treatments, and responses to care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and within scope of practice.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Assist in ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.

Work Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• Must be willing and able to work 12-hour shifts.
• Must report to work on time and maintain dependable attendance.
• Must be willing to accept mandated shifts when necessary to meet facility staffing needs and the requirements of the State of West Virginia.

Compliance Requirements

• Must comply with all applicable State of West Virginia regulations.
• Must adhere to all Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR), Department of Health Facilities (DHF), Office of Shared Administration (OSA), and facility policies and procedures.
• Must comply with the facility dress code and professional appearance standards.
• Must successfully meet all facility onboarding, credentialing, and background screening requirements.
