The E‑Billing Assistant supports the Billing Department by troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving e‑billing errors within client billing platforms and BillBlast. This role helps ensure legal invoices comply with client billing guidelines and are submitted accurately and efficiently, directly supporting the firm’s revenue cycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor invoice rejections, warnings, and failed submissions across legal e‑billing platforms using BillBlast. Identify and investigate root causes of recurring e‑billing errors. Resolve routine billing errors related to formatting, task codes, narratives, timekeeper data, or required fields independently, and elevate complex issues appropriately. Reconcile claim numbers to the appropriate client and matters. Prioritize invoice processing based on client requirements, aging, and revenue impact. Support the timely submission of legal invoices to help accelerate payment. Track recurring rejection trends and contribute to process improvements. Communicate billing issues clearly with billing staff and supervisors. Maintain documentation of common errors and resolutions for internal reference. Candidate Requirements Familiarity with spreadsheets and Microsoft Excel preferred; eagerness to learn legal billing rules, terminology, and systems.
