JOB DESCRIPTION

The Staff Accountant prepares and maintains financial records, ensures accuracy in financial reporting, and supports month-end and year-end closing processes. This individual will work closely with the Assistant Controller and other accounting staff to support the company's accounting and financial operations.

TYPICAL DUTIES

Process accounts payable and/or accounts receivable transactions Prepare and maintain general ledger entries Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Support internal and external audits by providing documentation Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies Maintain accurate records and documentation Assist with special accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience 1–3 years of accounting experience Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting
