Overview Primary location: Carson, California Relocation offered: No Employment status: Full-Time Travel: Non-compete: No Pay grade: 5 The estimated base salary range for this role pays $20.19 - $26.92 per hour. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors. As an intern in Arktura's Design & Construction Services department, you will support a collaborative team of Project Managers, Designers, and CAD Technicians on a variety of ongoing custom projects in various stages—from initial design coordination and shop drawings to manufacturing and installation support. What’s in it for you Experience working in a combined office and manufacturing facility under one roof Open, collaborative culture with direct exposure to both design and manufacturing teams Hands-on experience in an environment that blends design and fabrication Location near the beach and the greater Los Angeles area Opportunity to work on projects where design intent and manufacturing execution are closely connected What You'll Do Assist with various aspects of custom project design and delivery Draft technical drawings and details 3D modeling Parametric scripting Project documentation Scheduling and data management Creation of conceptual design diagrams and presentations Participate in team meetings Coordinate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams What Will Make You Successful Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional and collaborative setting Experience with architectural design, detailing, and construction details Strong technical drawing and 3D modeling skills (Rhino and Grasshopper experience preferred) Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. Qualifications Currently pursuing (or recently completed) degree or certificate in a related field (Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, Construction Management, or other related field) CV and Portfolio of work required What Makes You Stand Out Previous studio, internship, shop, fabrication, or construction experience is helpful but not required Details and Additional Requirements Duration: 8 to 10 weeks Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday Location: Los Angeles, California; Arktura's headquarters combines office and factory operations on one campus.
