Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Medical Building Full Time Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a public healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and entry procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
