Primary Location: United States (US) - Missouri - Springfield As an Entry Level Maintenance Technician with John Deere in Springfield, MO, you will perform maintenance as needed on all equipment to support operations in an environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment and building.Perform basic fabrication of parts as needed, as well as run conduit and piping as needed.Assist in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) activities and projects.Assist in Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) events for the factory.Assist and support other team members and work with minimal supervision.Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.Operations occur on 1st and 2nd shifts. This posting will be used to fill openings on either shift, subject to facility needs at the time.Minimum Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have at least one of the following: High School Diploma or G.E.D. National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)At least 3 years of manufacturing work experienceAt least 2 years of prior industrial maintenance experience.Ability and willingness to obtain a forklift certification.Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).What Makes You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): Prior Electrical maintenance experience and knowledge.Why Work at John Deere?
