About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Abington, Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants (local rate differential applies)

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), every 3rd weekend required (Friday/Saturday), no call required

Highlights:

• High-volume regional transfer center averaging 12-15 deliveries per day with approximately 5,000 deliveries annually
• State-of-the-art Labor & Delivery unit with 21 beds, 8-bed triage, 3 operating rooms, and 3-bay PACU
• Excellent nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 supporting quality patient care
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13-week assignment with no floating required; block scheduling may be considered
• Level 3 NICU on-site; scrubs provided

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
• Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact license) at time of submission
• Current certifications: NRP, ACLS, and BLS required
• AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must work at least 1 holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day)
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile local radius

Additional Information:

This position requires completion of Pennsylvania-specific compliance requirements including fingerprinting and background checks. Clinical competency assessment required prior to start.
