About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Abington, Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants (local rate differential applies)

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every 3rd weekend required (Friday/Saturday), at least 8 weekend shifts per 13-week contract

Highlights:

• High-volume regional transfer center with approximately 5,000 deliveries annually (12-15 deliveries per day on average)
• High-risk Labor & Delivery unit with Level 3 NICU support and 21 L&D beds, 8-bed triage, 3 ORs, and 3-bay PACU
• Patient ratio of 1:2 with no floating required and no on-call requirements
• Epic charting system with scrubs provided
• 13-week assignment with one pre-approved time off period available
• Holiday requirement: at least 1 holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day)

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or multi-state compact license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: NRP, ACLS, and BLS required
• AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius to qualify for standard compensation

Additional Information:

Candidates must complete all pre-employment requirements including Pennsylvania fingerprinting within one week of contract signing, laboratory work within 48 hours of signing, and a clinical competency examination.
