Step into a fulfilling, full-time contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting a special education preschool program. This role is based at a single school site and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education. The assignment is set to begin in mid to late September, with a duration extending to at least January—potentially continuing through the end of the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential/licensure as required for school practice in California
- Experience or strong interest working in preschool or early childhood settings
- Background in supporting students with special needs, particularly within an educational context
- Demonstrated skills in assessment, counseling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organization abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational and psychological assessments for preschool-aged children
- Develop reports and recommendations that guide individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and support staff to create effective interventions
- Participate in team meetings, reviews, and eligibility discussions
- Provide direct and consultative services to children, parents, and school personnel
- Help facilitate a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for preschoolers
