Quality Control Inspector

Construction (QA) InspectorWork Location: Panama City, FL (Tyndall AFB)Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interviewRequirements: Must be a US Citizen and must pass a Federal Background Review and drug screenDuties/Responsibilities:Perform daily inspections and submit reports on construction projects at federal facilities for compliance with contract, design documents, plans and specifications in regard to workmanship, materials, installation and construction methods.Provide recommendations or necessary changes to government personnel regarding contract plans and specification relative to all phases of construction.Monitor contractor's quality system and administer the three-phase inspection process.Provide surveillance at construction sites and assist owner in problem resolution.Deliver and review change orders; modification; RFIs; and submittals.Monitor contractor's schedule.Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor's requests for payment.Verify accuracy of as-built drawings.Review and ensure QA and safety plans are adhered to by the contractor.Utilize Resident Management System (RMS).Education/Experience:High School Diploma/GED minimum; Construction related degree, preferredMinimum of 10 years of applicable experience on construction projects large complex multimillion dollar federal projects, Department of Defense preferredExperience with wide range of trades including, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, roofing, and general building constructionArmy Corp of Engineering (USACE), preferredExperience using RMS 3.0, preferredExperience with three-phase inspection processExperience with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual, preferredDemonstrate proficiency and effective communications skills in the English language in both oral and written formsMust have knowledge of building and construction crafts since detailed inspections must be made to ensure the required level of workmanshipMust be capable of reading contract drawings and specificationsInteraction with clients and contractors requires candidate to have a professional presentation along with excellent communication skills and attention to detailMust have a valid driver's license and be insurablePhysical Requirements:Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignmentsAbility to carry required instruments and equipmentAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Equal Opportunity Employer (U.S.) all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.
