Registered Nurse - Per Diem

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patient health through comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate quality patient care, providing education to patients, families, and the public. Adhering to organizational policies and values, they support a compassionate and safe environment. Core Responsibilities Identify patient care needs and establish rapport with patients and families. Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Promote patient independence through education on disease processes, medications, and self-care. Ensure quality care by adhering to standards and adjusting plans as needed. Delegate tasks responsibly, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Maintain medical equipment, perform troubleshooting, and manage inventories. Follow infection control policies, medication regulations, and universal precautions. Maintain a safe, clean environment in compliance with procedures and regulations. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited associate degree program (required). Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher degree (preferred). One or more years of relevant experience (preferred). Licensure & Certification Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse (required). Basic Life Support Certification (preferred).
