The Role

Next Generation Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our growing team in Cleveland, Ohio. This senior-level position is responsible for overseeing all field operations on construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Reporting directly to the Project Executive and Project Manager, you will lead subcontractors and trades, coordinate daily site activities, and play a key role in delivering successful projects while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily field operations and site activities
• Review project plans for constructability, coordination, and scheduling
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans
• Manage project schedules, including short-term look-ahead planning
• Conduct regular quality control and safety inspections
• Enforce company safety programs and OSHA requirements
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and regulatory compliance
• Lead subcontractor and foreman meetings
• Manage material deliveries, rental equipment, and site resources
• Prepare daily reports and progress documentation
• Review pay applications, change orders, and project modifications
• Oversee project closeout activities, punch lists, and warranty matters
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders

The Person

You will bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of construction industry experience
• Leadership experience within construction or a related field
• OSHA 30 certification and current First Aid/CPR training
• Willingness to travel throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and site operations
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Procore, Pro-Est, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
• Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A team-oriented approach and commitment to customer service
