Escrow Assistant

LOCATION This position is onsite based in Shelton, WA. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist escrow officer with opening, processing, and closing escrow files. Order title commitments, loan payoffs, and other necessary documents. Review and prepare escrow instructions, amendments, and settlement statements. Communicate with clients, lenders, agents, and internal staff regarding status and required items. Manage incoming funds and disbursements per escrow instructions. Maintain compliance with state and company regulations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED required; some companies may prefer an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. 1–2 years of escrow, title, mortgage, banking, or related real estate experience is usually preferred (some entry-level positions available with training). Familiarity with real estate documents (purchase agreements, deeds, loan documents, title commitments). Attention to detail – accuracy is crucial when preparing escrow instructions, reviewing documents, or balancing files. Organizational skills – ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously. Customer service – strong communication skills to interact with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other parties. Problem-solving – resolving discrepancies in documents, title issues, or closing conditions.
