Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Morristown, New Jersey.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/19/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 19, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 4\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring the ability to manage a high-risk unit with high patient census.Details\n \n Delivery Room unit within a hospital setting\n High-risk labor and delivery patient population\n Requires managing a high patient census\n 12-hour AM shifts scheduled 7a-7p, 3 days per week\n No on-call responsibilities\n Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital\n Uses Epic charting system\n Requirements\n \n Active NJ or compact RN license required\n Current BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing\n Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred\n Experience functioning effectively in a high-risk labor and delivery unit required\n Knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, and pre/postoperative assessment required\n Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills required\n Additional Information\n \n Responsible for comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric\n Provides direct patient care and demonstrates knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures\n Maintains complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient progress\n Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification\n Uses safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics\n Provides patient and family education regarding procedures and instructions\n Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate\n Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a break is required before returning to a new assignment\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-755511.
