Academic Chief of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Job ID: 1054971 Opportunity Criteria: Specialty: Academic, Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Profession: Physician (MD, DO, Resident) Responsibilities Lead the Division of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, overseeing research, faculty recruitment & development, scholarly activity, clinical and teaching excellence. Shape and expand pulmonary services across the RWJBarnabas/Rutgers Health System. Advance interdisciplinary and translational research within the division. Mentor junior faculty and foster collaborative research programs. Elevate pulmonary medicine on national and international stages. Manage operations and improve systems to maximize efficiency. Qualifications MD or MD/PhD degree. Board certified in pulmonary medicine. Eligible for appointment to Associate Professor or Professor at Rutgers University. Actively funded research program in basic, translational, clinical, or health services research. Strong academic credentials and distinguished record across clinical, research, and teaching missions.
