Managing Consultant, Nursing

Overview At Press Ganey, we partner with health systems and health plans to tackle their most pressing challenges. Our Strategic Consulting team blends deep healthcare expertise with advanced analytics to deliver customized, data‑driven strategies that improve performance and elevate the human experience across nursing, safety, patient experience, and employee experience. Location and Travel Remote (U.S. based) or based in Chicago, Boston, or South Bend hubs. In‑office employees follow a hybrid schedule—Tuesdays through Thursdays in office, with flexibility on other days depending on travel. Travel: up to 75% nationally. Responsibilities Utilize Press Ganey and client data assets to consult with stakeholders, responding to industry change and opportunities for improvement in complex situations. Partner with clients to complete data analysis, data interpretation, and process design to identify, recommend, and solve business problems. Construct and lead data analysis supporting payer analytics—including authorization metrics, denial rates, observations, and behavior assessments—summarizing conclusions and recommendations. Serve as an effective trainer, ensuring active engagement and effective knowledge transfer for patient experience best practices and process improvement. Coordinate actions to complete work efficiently, delegating and leveraging appropriate internal and client resources. Manage and deliver defined scope of engagement plans, including timelines, deliverables, budget, and outcomes. Lead preparation of client deliverables such as data analyses, assessments, quality reviews, training, and presentations. Build and manage successful client relationships, generating positive feedback on quality, value, innovation, delivery, and results. Act as the direct point of contact with the client, proactively building credibility for project work streams. Communicate effectively and appropriately, influencing various audiences and managing risks and recommendations to project management. Plan, organize, and prioritize project activities using work plans and other project management tools. Lead project teams through all phases of engagement. Qualifications 10+ years of nursing work with experience designing systems and processes. Experience designing strategies that help nurses connect with those in their care. Past experience in training and coaching nursing teams. Demonstrated experience driving performance improvement initiatives. Strong data analytic skills (Excel, Access, SQL, SAS, etc.). Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for document preparation. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to multiple priorities. Experience in a Magnet‑designated healthcare organization (ANCC Magnet Recognition Program) with a focus on professional training, education, or leadership development is a strong plus. Consulting experience is preferred. BSN required; MSN and/or MBA preferred. Benefits and Compensation Expected base salary ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including skills, training, experience, education, and licensure or certifications. In addition to base salary, eligible candidates may receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to results, plus a competitive benefits package.
