Detailed description of duties/responsibilities: Run with athletes Attend practices Monday-Thursday 4:00-5:30 pm Supervise athletes at meets and on the bus traveling to and from those events Build a positive team environment Promote physical fitness and sportsmanship Available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends, and be willing to travel with the team to different locations for meets Get certified to drive a school vehicle and drive for practices/meets Complete the coach certifications required by the school district Other duties as assigned by the head coach Special qualifications, if any: Experience coaching, preferred Experience working with middle school students preferred

Must possess leadership skills, and be able to set an example for the players Excellent communication skills in order to inspire players and work with them on improvement . Ability to react well under pressure, handle and balance multiple demands at one time, work with frequent interruptions, and perform duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism. Knowledge of and ability to perform duties in full compliance with all district, Board of Education, state and federal laws, methods, requirements, policies, procedures, and activities pertinent to the duties of this position.
