Address: 5959 Topanga Canyon Blvd Suite 125, Woodland Hills, California 91367 Annual Salary: $130k - $145k (based on experience) Location: Los Angeles, CA / Hybrid (once a month in our CHQ office) Position Overview Responsible for ensuring that all CARD’s IT projects meet customer expectations while ensuring consistency of project execution across projects. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope. It involves guiding and mentoring a project management team and providing direct oversight of critical projects when needed. Managing technical projects from initial requirements through to general release, while maintaining quality and budget goals. The Senior Project Manager evangelizes project management processes, best practices and tools and acts as a gatekeeper responsible for leading cross‑functional technical teams both on‑shore and off‑shore. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Drive projects through the requirements, design, development, testing and release phases of the project lifecycle, coordinating closely with all technical, business and operational stakeholders. Coordinate with business and technical leads to understand all aspects of product requirements. Validate the estimates provided by technology resources. Develop, manage and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time. Coordinate plans for testing and release, including QA, UAT and regression testing, and track the project through the QA cycle to ensure adherence to plans. Communicate effectively with various departments and staff at all levels to keep the company apprised of project status, ensuring cohesiveness, clarity and efficiency. Identify and address project interdependencies, risks and issues; resolve conflicts and plan optimal delivery sequences. Manage multiple, often large, projects of different priorities that may have business dependencies. Act as Scrum Master for one or more IT teams and prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders. Lead global and local IT teams and foster an environment of continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for and contribute to project management process improvements. Evangelize PMO best practices to streamline Technology’s processes. Represent CARD professionally and ethically to internal and external stakeholders. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. BS in Computer Science or related Engineering field preferred. 10+ years of Project Management experience. PMP certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Microsoft Project expertise required. Jira utilization experience required. Proven record of working with business and engineering leadership to improve delivery. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience managing personnel and distributed teams (on‑shore and off‑shore). Demonstrable experience managing multiple critical projects. Proven track record of delivering projects on‑time and on‑budget. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with external partners, clients, vendors and management. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse cross‑disciplinary team of developers. Experience solving a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways, and evaluating alternative solutions that require coordination across multiple teams. Knowledge of software engineering principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and industry practices. Experience generating requirements/specifications and high‑level design and process risk assessments. Experience managing hardware and software integrated projects as well as software‑only projects. Familiarity with Agile development and processes preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Expert level knowledge of software project management methodologies and tracking/reporting tools (JIRA, MS‑Project, Smartsheet). Ability to lead cross‑functional teams with a proven track record of delivery. Work Environment Includes a typical remote office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues. Physical Requirements • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. • Ability to work on a computer for the majority of the day, as tasks require. • Ability to use and speak on the phone or via teleconference, as needed throughout the day.
