Associate Operational Compliance Analyst The Associate Operational Compliance Analyst supports operational business units by developing, maintaining, and improving compliance standards, procedures, and documentation. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements through collaboration with operational units and Regulatory Compliance. The analyst researches regulatory changes, assists with audits, monitors compliance activities, and provides guidance on compliance‑related processes. Key Responsibilities Research and analyze applicable regulations, requirements, and industry standards. Maintain compliance oversight with assigned regulatory standards. Develop, modify, and maintain operational procedures, compliance protocols, processes, and work instructions. Provide guidance on implementing compliance procedures and reporting to regulatory agencies. Track, document, and develop compliance controls and related data. Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions to mitigate compliance issues. Support company‑wide compliance reviews in partnership with Regulatory Compliance. Maintain evidence supporting compliance. Respond to complex compliance questions from operational teams and provide compliance guidance and training to employees. Respond to audit findings and corrective action plans. Assist with internal and external audits related to federal regulatory compliance; collaborate with SMEs to gather documentation and evidence supporting audit activities; respond to data requests. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Technical field, or related discipline. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Two or more years of experience in utility operations, cybersecurity, auditing, or regulatory compliance. Experience with FERC and NERC regulations preferred. NERC Certification preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with FERC and NERC compliance programs. Experience supporting regulatory audits within the utility industry. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Intermediate knowledge of operational business processes and regulatory and reliability standards. Understanding of compliance and risk management principles. Analytical thinking and ability to recommend practical solutions. Experience using databases and compliance documentation systems. Professional Skills Business acumen, problem solving, decision making, project management, written & verbal communication. Organizational prioritization, diplomacy, collaboration, interpersonal relationship management. Physical and Cognitive Requirements Apply established principles to solve practical and moderately complex problems. Meet response times and deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Adapt to changing priorities and business needs. Exercise sound judgment and decision‑making. Process and retain new information effectively; accept and apply constructive feedback. Work effectively under pressure and collaborate across teams. Attendance and Schedule Requirements Maintain regular, reliable attendance and adhere to established work schedules. Ability to work extended or variable hours when necessary; report to work during severe weather or emergency conditions as required. Physical Capabilities Driving/travel/commute: Daily within service territory – Frequently (3 days in office). Computer use: Regularly for entire work shift. Environment: Indoor/Outdoor – Office.
