Senior Copywriter
One of The Sage Group's clients is looking for a Senior Copywriter from fintech. The client is a fintech company, a family finance safety app. Location: 100% remote, East Coast preferred Duration: 6 months to start, plus extension and contract to hire potential Compensation: $60-70hr DOE Portfolio required: showing fintech short and long form
Client is seeking a Senior Copywriter to support the Brand team by developing compelling consumer-facing and product-focused messaging across multiple channels. This individual will partner closely with the existing copywriter and brand leadership to build scalable messaging frameworks, product language, campaign copy, and brand storytelling that consistently reflects client's voice. The ideal candidate combines strong strategic messaging capabilities with hands-on execution and has experience writing for consumer technology, fintech, financial services, or youth/family-focused brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Product & Consumer Copywriting
- Develop messaging and copy for consumer-facing products and features
- Create product language for landing pages and performance marketing channels
- Translate complex product concepts into clear, engaging customer language
- Support go-to-market launches and product marketing initiatives
- Brand Messaging
- Learn and consistently apply client's established brand voice
- Develop and evolve messaging frameworks across audiences and channels
- Create partnership messaging and positioning narratives
- Contribute to retail and customer-facing communications
- Messaging Architecture
- Build and maintain messaging matrices, messaging grids, and positioning frameworks
- Develop scalable language systems that can be used across marketing teams
- Ensure consistency across campaigns, channels, and stakeholder groups
- Content Development
- Produce both short-form and long-form copy
- Write headlines, email copy, landing page copy, product copy, campaign messaging, and supporting brand content
- Partner with internal stakeholders to refine messaging based on business goals
Must-Haves
- 5+ years senior-level consumer fintech client side copywriting experience, with both long and short form
- Ability to quickly adapt to an established brand voice
- Experience building messaging frameworks, matrices, or positioning systems
- Experience writing for youth-focused, family-focused, or consumer lifestyle brands
- Experience working cross-functionally with Brand, Product Marketing, and Growth teams
- Comfortable balancing brand and performance objectives
- Understands how to build language systems, not just individual assets
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and welcomes feedback
- Capable of partnering effectively with an existing copywriter rather than working independently in a silo
