Role Description the Public Relations Registered Dietitian will serve as a nutrition and health expert within a PR and marketing communications environment, contributing to strategy and content for food, nutrition, health & wellness, and beverage clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing science-based nutrition messaging, creating evidence-informed materials (press releases, talking points, articles, presentations), and reviewing client content for accuracy and credibility. The Registered Dietitian will participate in media outreach, support spokesperson training, and provide expert input for social media, influencer campaigns, and consumer education initiatives. The role also involves staying current on nutrition research and policy trends, translating complex science into clear, consumer-friendly language, and working closely with internal teams and clients to support integrated communications programs. Qualifications Clinical and applied nutrition expertise, including Dietetics, Medical Nutrition Therapy, and Nutrition. Experience in consumer-focused nutrition support, including Nutrition Counseling and Weight Management. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential and active state licensure (or eligibility) as required. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate scientific information into accessible content for media and consumers. Experience or strong interest in public relations, marketing communications, or health promotion campaigns. Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with current nutrition research, dietary guidelines, and food policy; media experience or spokesperson training is a plus.
