Position Overview Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Nutritionist / Registered Dietitian to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in Queens, New York. This role focuses on providing evidence-based nutritional counseling and education to patients in a collaborative healthcare setting. Why Join Us? Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution. Licensure: Must have a New York State license as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN). Experience: Open to new graduates. Technical Skills: Proficient in conducting nutritional assessments, developing meal plans, utilizing electronic health records, and providing medical nutrition therapy for various conditions (diabetes, hypertension, obesity, GI disorders, etc.). Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, cultural competence, active listening, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, including dietary history, lifestyle factors, medical history, and anthropometric measurements. Develop and implement individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) plans based on patient diagnoses, goals, and cultural preferences. Provide nutrition counseling and education for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, obesity, gastrointestinal disorders, food allergies, and eating disorders. Educate patients and families on healthy eating habits, portion control, label reading, meal planning, and grocery shopping strategies. Monitor patient progress through follow-up visits, adjust nutrition plans as needed, and document outcomes in electronic health records. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other specialists within the multi-specialty practice to ensure integrated, whole-person care. Stay current with evidence-based nutrition research, dietary guidelines, and best practices through continuing education. Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement initiatives as appropriate.
