Diesel Mechanic

About the role Maintenance Mechanic responsible for planned, unplanned, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems supporting Reworld’s industrial disposal process. Responsibilities Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per the maintenance schedule to prevent equipment breakdowns and operational downtime. Utilize root‑cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages, collaborating with various teams and stakeholders. Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems while completing all required paperwork in the company’s computerized maintenance documentation program. Open and close work orders, check out spare parts, and perform related activities using Reworld’s maintenance documentation program. Repair and/or maintain industrial production or processing machinery, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary. Observe and evaluate machine operation to diagnose malfunctions using mechanical devices. Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities. Inspect operating machines and equipment to ensure conformance with operational and safety performance standards. Requirements & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment. Ability to work a rotating shift schedule. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $69,100.00 – $91,900.00 USD. Physical Demands Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces. Qualify to wear a full‑face respirator. Consistently work in various weather conditions.
