Senior Desktop Support Specialist

Location: Rosemont, IL Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 annually Travel: Approximately 10–20% Language Requirement: Fluent Spanish and English required Position Overview A growing, national organization is seeking a Senior Desktop / Endpoint Support Specialist to own and continuously improve its desktop, laptop, and endpoint environment across more than 1,500 devices. This is a high-visibility, hands-on Tier 3 support role for an experienced endpoint professional who can administer Microsoft Intune, manage Windows deployments and application distribution, resolve complex technical issues, and partner effectively with security and service desk teams. The successful candidate will bring strong customer service skills, deep Microsoft ecosystem expertise, and the ability to support a distributed workforce in both English and Spanish. Key Responsibilities Administer and enhance Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, and endpoint lifecycle management. Build, test, deploy, and maintain Windows application packages using Intune and Patch My PC, including Win32, MSI, and EXE deployments, detection rules, dependencies, and supersedence. Manage Windows operating system and third-party application patching, compliance reporting, remediation, and exception handling. Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex endpoint, desktop, laptop, operating system, and application issues. Perform root-cause analysis, document findings, and implement sustainable technical solutions for recurring issues. Support and maintain Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and related end-user computing services. Collaborate with IT Security to investigate endpoint alerts, rem deiate vulnerabilities, and maintain endpoint security standards. Support endpoint hardware and peripherals, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and multifunction devices. Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge‑base articles, operational runbooks, and end‑user support guides. Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 Help Desk personnel through knowledge transfer, troubleshooting guidance, and process improvement. Travel to regional offices, remote locations, and acquisition sites as needed to support endpoint deployments and technical initiatives. Deliver professional, responsive support to both English- and Spanish-speaking users. Required Qualifications 8+ years of progressive IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English . Deep, hands‑on experience administering Microsoft Intune in an enterprise or distributed environment. Expert‑level Windows 10/11 troubleshooting, configuration, deployment, and endpoint support experience. Extensive experience with Active Directory administration and troubleshooting. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365. Experience managing Windows imaging, deployment, refresh, and lifecycle processes across a large device population. Strong desktop, laptop, hardware, peripheral, and end‑user technology troubleshooting skills. Experience serving as an escalation resource and resolving complex technical problems independently. Strong documentation, communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Ability to work onsite in Rosemont, Illinois, Monday through Friday, and travel approximately 10–20%. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot administration. Patch My PC application packaging and patch management. SentinelOne or comparable endpoint detection and response tooling. Mobile device management experience with Android and iOS/iPhone devices. ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or similar ITSM/ticketing platforms. Experience supporting Dell desktops and laptops. Experience supporting Xerox, Canon, Toshiba, or similar multifunction printers. ITIL knowledge and experience working within structured service desk processes. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a senior endpoint and desktop support professional who has progressed beyond traditional Help Desk responsibilities. They are highly skilled in Intune, Windows endpoint management, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, deployment automation, patching, and advanced troubleshooting. This person is comfortable operating as a trusted Tier 3 escalation resource, improving endpoint processes at scale, partnering with security teams, coaching junior support staff, and delivering exceptional support to a diverse bilingual employee population.
