AEMT | Emergency Department Health Unit Coordinator

Job Summary:
Provide direct patient care within a busy Emergency Department setting during night shifts, working 12-hour rotations totaling 72 hours per pay period. Serve as a vital communication link between patients, families, nursing staff, and physicians, ensuring smooth coordination and support throughout the unit. Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care within a busy Emergency Department setting during night shifts, working 12-hour rotations totaling 72 hours per pay period. Serve as a vital communication link between patients, families, nursing staff, and physicians, ensuring smooth coordination and support throughout the unit. Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with charge nurses, medical staff, and colleagues to support patient care.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to patient needs.
- Transport specimens promptly to the laboratory and assist with supply ordering and inventory management.
- Maintain flexibility and organization while functioning efficiently under stressful conditions.
- Treat patients and their families with dignity, respect, and professionalism, providing clear explanations and reassurance as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification with an active license in Washington state.
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant Certified professional is required.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience working in an Emergency Department hospital environment.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies.
- Demonstrate punctuality and complete assigned duties within designated timelines.
- Exemplify ethical behavior aligned with organizational mission and values.
- Communicate courteously and respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff.
