Job Details Job Details: Join us as a Permanent Safety Specialist in the Manufacturing industry to bring your expertise in hazard control, incident investigations, safety audits, and more to our team. As a Safety Specialist, you will leverage your strong organizational and documentation skills to develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and protocols. You will be a key player in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce. We're looking for a dedicated professional with 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ready to hit the ground running and make a significant impact on our operations. Responsibilities: Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Plan and implement training for employees in work site safety practices. Conduct safety inspections and participate in audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Perform hazard assessments, job hazard analysis (JHA) and job safety analysis (JSA). Conduct incident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Track and analyze incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Maintain safety files and records, ensuring accurate documentation of all safety processes and incidents. Promote a culture of safety among employees through education, training, and communication. Stay up-to-date with latest safety regulations and best practices in the industry. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Safety, Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety specialist role within the manufacturing industry. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment. Experience in hazard control, incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and safety audit processes. Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail. Proficient in performing JHA/JSA. Excellent communication and training skills. Ability to identify and evaluate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
