Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 6 months of Epic experience is required.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), and general med/surg skills including care of patients with tubes/drains, IV starts, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes.

Required Credentials: - Education: ASN/BSN

Special Requests: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: Various diagnoses including cardiac, respiratory, and neuro; fast-paced observation unit. RN ratios 1:5-6 on days and nights; in surge staffing, ratios can be up to 1:7-8. CNA support ratio 1:12; no HUC. Charge nurse may have a patient assignment and is always a resource for staff. Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT 24/7, hospitalist on site for day shift and virtual evenings/overnight, intensivist 24/7. Telemetry monitoring is remote with tele tech. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Massimo monitors in all rooms.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for nights and up to 3p for days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle is every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: Within region and scope of practice. Required to float per region needs to Region 3 facilities: Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH). If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock while traveling between facilities.

6 days maximum time off
