Gastroenterology: Hospitalist Position - Geneva, IL

Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-eligible/certified Gastroenterology Hospitalist to become part of our team in Geneva, IL, situated in the western suburbs of Chicago. Our certified physicians specialize in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a diverse array of digestive disorders through advanced diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

This role is primarily hospital-based, focusing on inpatient care and the management of acute or critically ill patients. Responsibilities will include performing endoscopic procedures initiated from the emergency department and inpatient consult services. The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in basic upper and lower endoscopy, enteral access (such as PEG placement), and the management of gastrointestinal emergencies, including upper and lower GI bleeding, food impactions, and volvulus. The hospitalist will collaborate with 1-2 established interventional endoscopists and other subspecialists within our organization.

• Schedule: 26 weeks, 7-day weeks, 12-hour shifts (1 week on/1 week off)

• This position will have the support of an Advanced Practice Provider to assist with inpatient consults and care transitions.

• Salary Range: $450,000 - $610,000
