The Medical Receptionist will serve as a welcoming first point of contact for families at a primary care practice. Reporting to the Office Manager, this role will coordinate front desk operations, support patient access, and help ensure accurate, efficient, and compassionate administrative service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
• Welcome patients and provide check-in support.
• Verify insurance information and eligibility.
• Answer and route incoming phone calls.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Process patient payments.
• Provide appointment reminders and patient communication.
• Support front desk coordination and general office administration.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical reception.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with electronic health records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical billing.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
