Principal Systems Engineer - Patriot Comms

Salary: $107,500 - 204,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a STEM degree and at least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• We require hands-on software application development experience using Python or a similar programming language.
• We require active and transferable U.S. government security clearance before the start date.
• We require U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are eligible to obtain a security clearance.
• We require the ability to obtain an interim U.S. government security clearance before the start date.
• We require experience working with IP networks and software engineering in a systems-focused environment.
• We prefer experience with Patriot or a comparable defense program covering design, development, integration, verification, and sustainment.
• We prefer experience with VoIP communications design, configuration, and integration, and IP networking certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are a plus.
• We prefer experience designing, configuring, and integrating cyber-secure communications solutions.
• We prefer experience deploying software on cyber-hardened Linux operating systems.
• We prefer experience creating automated tests for both hardware and software.
• We prefer strong technical leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.

• We perform hands-on development and testing in lab environments using communications hardware.
• We develop, validate, troubleshoot, and support communications systems and related products throughout the lifecycle.
• We design and refine IP communications network architectures to satisfy Patriot system requirements.
• We build configurations and device settings across a broad range of communications hardware.
• We create orchestration and automation solutions to streamline software management of communications systems and connected devices.
• We develop software in Python.
• We provide ongoing technical support for Patriot Communication Systems worldwide.
• We mentor new team members and help grow team knowledge.
• We provide technical direction to a small engineering team supporting communications software application development for Patriot programs.
