Physician - Internal Medicine

Position Overview A well-established and busy outpatient Internal Medicine practice located at 426 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician. The practice is fully outpatient, supported by a team‑based care model and interdisciplinary resources such as Behavioral Health, Pharmacists, and Care Managers. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients. Assess and monitor the medical needs of patients and their families. Deliver care in a cost‑effective, evidence‑based, patient‑centered manner. Ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care for patient panels. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve outcomes. Supervise and provide oversight of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Participate in patient and family education to support wellness and chronic disease management. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical process enhancements. Support organizational goals related to patient satisfaction and financial stewardship. Employment Type & Hours Full time, day shift. Weekly scheduled hours: 40. Work schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:00–17:00. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (MD or DO). MD license required in the State of Michigan at time of hire; DO license similarly required. DEA registration required in Michigan. BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) within the last 120 days. ACLS certification required if mandated by specialty or test performed.
