Job Summary We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Product Development team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, testing, troubleshooting, and refining prototype machines as they progress toward mass production. The Engineering Technician will support lab testing, perform technical tasks, assist engineers with complex electromechanical products, and help maintain an organized and effective engineering lab environment. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to an engineering-focused department that supports ACCO Brands’ continued growth, product innovation, and profitability. Responsibilities Testing and Validation Conduct product and prototype validation testing, run experiments, collect, analyze and document test data, troubleshoot prototypes and machines, and use specialized tools and equipment to support development activities. Technical Support Assemble, modify, and repair test machines and prototype equipment. Provide hands-on support to engineers throughout the development process. Inventory and Lab Management Inspect, maintain, and reorder materials, components, and lab supplies; support the organization, cleanliness, and readiness of lab equipment and work areas. Work closely with engineers and cross-functional team members to refine designs, resolve technical issues, improve product performance, and support successful project execution. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Science, or a related technical field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical laboratory, product development, manufacturing, or service environment. Experience with electromechanical or electronic repair, assembly, troubleshooting, or fabrication. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to understand and apply health, safety, and lab best practices. Strong teamwork, communication, time-management, and organizational skills. Ability to travel internationally, if required. Experience with 3D modeling and basic drawing creation using SolidWorks is a plus. Salary Range : $28 - $32 per hour About Us You know our brands. You love our brands.
