Environmental Specialist New Davie, FL

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Environmental Specialist for our Lab & Onsite Support Services (Lab/OSS) team. The position reports to the Operations Manager and is based on site at client locations in the Davie, FL area. Responsibilities Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety practices. Prepare chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including creating all federal/state waste documents and managing the paperwork. Handle hazardous waste containers on client sites, including loading and unloading from vehicles. Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections. Occasionally perform and document Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits for clients. Deliver exceptional customer service, championing the WOW commitment by providing outstanding support and innovative solutions. Develop advanced state and federal regulatory expertise to ensure client compliance (RCRA, DOT, OSHA, etc.). Conduct spill response measures, including assessment and cleanup efforts. Participate in rotating on‑call responsibilities as part of the Emergency Response team. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hazardous‑waste industry, or relevant military experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. Ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies for positive outcomes. Skilled at building strong, positive relationships with clients and colleagues. Willingness and ability to work overtime on a regular basis and flexible hours Monday‑Friday. Ability to complete a 2–3 year professional advancement program in hazardous waste management. Handling hazardous chemicals and biological waste; responsible for donning and doffing personal protective equipment (safety‑sensitive role). Must be able to report to the Davie, FL office within 1 hour during rotating emergency response shifts. Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation. Willingness to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC). Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship. Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly. Preferred Requirements Prior relevant industry experience. Prior successful experience in a customer service role. Active HAZWOPER 24‑ or 40‑hour certification. Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
