Patient Services Specialist II

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing outpatient behavioral health/psychiatry practice with multiple providers in Scottsdale. This role supports both clinical and administrative operations, ensuring patients receive efficient and compassionate care.The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced outpatient mental health setting. This position requires strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.Clinical ResponsibilitiesObtain and document patient vitalsPerform phlebotomy / lab drawsConduct EKGsPerform CLIA-waived testingAssist providers with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatmentsAssist with ketamine treatment servicesPrepare exam rooms and support providers during patient visitsMaintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentialityAdministrative ResponsibilitiesComplete prior authorizations for medications and treatmentsProcess medication refill requestsManage incoming and outgoing faxesSupport patient intake and schedulingAssist with insurance verificationConduct billing discussions and payment collectionsMaintain accurate documentation within the EMR systemSupport clinic workflow and communication with providersQualificationsMedical Assistant certification preferred (experience may be considered)Phlebotomy experience requiredExperience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or outpatient medical settings preferredKnowledge of prior authorizations and insurance processesExperience with EMR systemsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to multitask and work in a team-oriented environmentStrong patient service and communication skillsWhat We’re Looking ForStrong critical thinking and sound judgmentAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyA dependable team player with a positive attitudeSomeone who is adaptable and quick to learn in a clinical environmentBenefitsHealth BenefitsLife Insurance401KPaid Time OffMonday - Friday 8am - 5pmOpportunity to work in a collaborative mental health and psychiatry practice #J-18808-Ljbffr Priority Dispatch Corp.
