At our family-owned operation of more than 45 years in Irwin, PA, precision is a point of pride. As a Precision CNC & Manual Machining Specialist, you’ll begin your shift reviewing prints, planning setups, and selecting tooling to produce high-quality components. You’ll move confidently between lathes, mills, CNC equipment, and drill presses—making measured adjustments to keep every cut on spec.
What you’ll do- Set up and run manual and CNC lathes, mills, and drill presses to produce parts to exact specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job packets to determine the correct sequence of operations.
- Tune feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain performance and surface finish; make on-the-fly corrections.
- Perform minor program edits and troubleshoot issues to keep work moving.
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, calipers, and other precision gaging.
- Partner with teammates to refine processes and boost throughput without sacrificing quality.
- Keep your station orderly and follow safety practices at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent; machining coursework or certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of hands-on machining experience.
- Solid command of machining methods, tooling, and shop equipment.
- Fluency in reading prints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Clear communicator who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
