About the Position

Job Title: RN - PCU/MS Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration needed. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Experience comfortable floating to different units within PCU and MS. Must have Epic charting experience. Description: Position available for an RN working in a float capacity across various units. The role requires comfort in managing patient care in both PCU and MS units. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Travelers may float 2-3 times per shift based on staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours. Weekend work is required, either every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period. One holiday commitment is required during the 13-week contract. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in relevant clinical skills including managing PCA and heparin protocols. Experience in telemetry and stepdown-level care is essential. Capabilities in central line care, trach management, and supporting non-invasive airway methods are also needed. The average patient-to-nurse ratios are 5:1 for PCU and 6:1 for MS, with potential flexing to 7:1. Successful candidates will be part of a supportive, interdisciplinary team providing high-quality patient care. Commitment to excellence in nursing practice is expected.
