Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Defect Litigation Attorney to manage sophisticated plaintiff-side construction defect cases throughout the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

This position is ideal for an accomplished litigator who enjoys handling cases from inception through resolution, collaborating with experts and clients, and evaluating strategic opportunities for settlement, arbitration, judicial reference, and trial.

The successful candidate will serve as a key contributor within the litigation team and take ownership of significant case responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Manage complex construction defect litigation matters from intake through resolution
Draft, evaluate, and implement case management strategies
Prepare and argue substantive motions
Oversee all phases of discovery, including document review and written discovery
Conduct and defend percipient and expert witness depositions
Evaluate settlement opportunities and alternative dispute resolution strategies
Participate in arbitration, judicial reference proceedings, mediations, and trials
Communicate directly with clients, consultants, experts, and opposing counsel
Develop litigation strategies designed to maximize client outcomes
Maintain strong attention to detail and case organization throughout the litigation lifecycle

Required Qualifications
Active California Bar license
Minimum 15 years of civil litigation experience
Strong background in construction defect litigation
Plaintiff-side litigation experience
Extensive experience managing cases independently
Experience conducting expert and percipient depositions
Strong motion practice skills
Trial, arbitration, or judicial reference experience
Excellent communication and client management abilities
Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills

Preferred Qualifications
20+ years of litigation experience
Experience representing homeowner associations or property owner groups
Extensive settlement negotiation experience
Established reputation within construction litigation circles
Background handling high-exposure or multi-party construction matters
