Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our Surgical Center, which provides a dynamic and engaging work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed medical evaluations and comprehensive pain assessments to identify the underlying causes of patients' pain, integrating physical, psychological, and social considerations into the diagnostic process.
• Create tailored treatment plans incorporating varied therapeutic modalities including pharmacological interventions, physical therapy referrals, and non-invasive management techniques.
• Furnish ongoing care to patients experiencing chronic pain, focusing on strategies to improve functional capacity, minimize pain intensity, and elevate overall life quality through individualized attention.
• Manage acute pain following injuries, surgical procedures, or medical interventions, applying evidence-based techniques to alleviate discomfort and promote healing.
• Prescribe and oversee pain management medications, evaluating the effectiveness and monitoring for side effects, ensuring adjustments are made in alignment with patient feedback and clinical guidelines.
• Perform and supervise interventional procedures such as nerve blocks and epidural injections, demonstrating technical expertise in minimally invasive pain management techniques.
• Educate patients about various pain management strategies, self-care methods, and lifestyle modifications, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare journey.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive electronic health records (EHR), documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, medical histories, and physician recommendations, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in Pain Management will primarily engage with patients suffering from chronic pain conditions as well as individuals experiencing acute pain arising from surgical or procedural outcomes. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the ARC-PA.

Compensation and Benefits
