Work Environment

Working onsite at our advanced surgical center in Savannah, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that fosters a supportive and efficient healthcare atmosphere. The environment is fast-paced, reflecting the urgent care setting, where decision-making and patient management skills are essential. The center generally operates Monday to Friday, offering a structured schedule of 40 hours per week starting with a 5:00 pm shift, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations including medical history assessments and physical evaluations to identify acute health concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies ensuring timely and accurate results for patient management.
• Diagnose a variety of urgent medical conditions, implementing effective treatment protocols to stabilize patients before further care is provided.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to patients with chronic illnesses, monitoring their progress, and making necessary adjustments.
• Prescribe medications as needed while closely tracking their effects on patient health outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous medical records using our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, preventive measures, and ways to improve quality of life.
• Encourage wellness initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles and proactive health management among our patient population.
• Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training to remain current with medical advancements and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population, addressing an array of acute conditions including minor injuries, infections, and exacerbations of chronic diseases. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• A valid state license as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a DEA registration are mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a similar role within an urgent care, emergency room, or primary care setting.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare policies and patient care regulations, ensuring compliance and maximizing patient safety.
• Outstanding communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Strong commitment to ethical practices and patient-centered care.
• Ability to remain calm and collected in high-pressure scenarios, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in cardiology or related fields is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to efficiently manage patient documentation.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not a requirement, enabling enhanced communication with a broader patient base.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
