Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite at our fully-equipped surgical center located in Savannah, Georgia, a vibrant city known for its rich history and community-oriented atmosphere. The typical work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, your essential duties will include:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and comprehensive health assessments for patients of all ages.
• Evaluating patients to diagnose health conditions and formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribing medications and implementing treatment protocols based on clinical findings.
• Educating patients about preventive health measures, disease management, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their well-being.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care delivery and continuity.
• Managing ongoing patient care, including referrals to specialists and coordinating follow-up appointments.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate patient care.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction assessments, and ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, addressing a variety of medical issues that range from routine check-ups to chronic disease management. You will provide compassionate care and education to patients, building strong therapeutic relationships that promote health and wellness throughout the entire community.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Family Medicine Physician Assistant position, candidates must possess:

• A valid Physician Assistant license issued by the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant with the ability to operate independently.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a current DEA number.
• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Proficiency in performing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures common in family medicine.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:
