Work Environment

You will work onsite at our hospital facility, engaging in a collaborative work environment that encourages continuous learning and professional development. The typical work schedule is designed to cover 40 hours per week, primarily from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekends and evening shifts as needed. You will be part of a dynamic and diverse team that values mutual respect and open communication, ensuring high patient satisfaction and positive health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments by taking comprehensive histories and performing thorough physical examinations.
• Create and document personalized plans of care, regularly following up to ensure that patients receive appropriate screening and preparation for treatment.
• Perform daily patient rounds, monitoring health progress and responding to any immediate concerns.
• Write and manage orders for medications, laboratory tests, and diagnostic procedures.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results, using them to inform treatment decisions and patient education.
• Collaborate effectively with attending physicians, nurses, and additional healthcare staff to optimize care delivery.
• Prepare discharge summaries, write prescriptions, and provide necessary referrals upon patient discharge.
• Educate patients about post-discharge care instructions and ensure they understand their follow-up plans.
• Stay current with medical best practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the healthcare facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Blossom Health Center, you will primarily focus on female patients, addressing a wide variety of health concerns ranging from routine check-ups to complex medical issues. Your expertise will significantly contribute to improving women’s health outcomes, providing essential education and support throughout their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is required.
• National Board Certification in a relevant specialty area is mandatory.
• A current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia, as well as a Registered Professional Nurse license, are essential for this position.
• At least one year of clinical experience is required, preferably in a women’s health setting.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in women's health, family medicine, or primary care will be considered favorably. Experience in a hospital setting, particularly related to specialty care in women’s health, is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will be advantageous for effective patient management and documentation.
