Under general supervision, handles daily receipt of merchandise received from vendor trucks by performing the following duties.- May provide training to less experienced Receivers.
- Examines shipment for defects and shortages against receiving documents.
- Records factors causing goods to be returned.
- Unloads and moves incoming shipments to storage.
- Forwards approved receiving documents to appropriate department for processing.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
